The ZMQ Story

ZMQ Global is a ‘Technology for Development’ organization which identifies critical social problems of poor, rural, under-privileged & unreached communities; develops practical technology-linked solutions; implements it on the ground by building a system-changing model by providing timely information to communities & connecting them with sustainable life-saving products and services. ZMQ’s methodology to solve these social problems is based on a ‘System-Change’ approach, and works on multiple converging issues like healthcare, education, livelihood and climate change.

As a pioneer in digital transformation, ZMQ was setup New Delhi (India) in 1998. It has been using technology for social good with a prime focus on critical health issues like Maternal & Child Health; Communicable disease like HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, COVID-19 etc.; Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR); Non-Communicable diseases and Non-Communicable Diseases with an objective – creating awareness through Social and Behaviour Change Communication strategies and connecting the communities with service delivery in remote areas.

As a South-South collaboration model, in 2015, ZMQ replicated and scaled its proven and tested model in other low and middle income countries (LMIC). ZMQ scaled its programs in Afghanistan and Anglophone countries in East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Kenya). In 2016, ZMQ had set-up its office, ZMQ Africa, in Kampala, Uganda.

With intent to scale its models in Francophone countries of Africa, ZMQ established an International Organization, ZMQ Global, in Montreal; which was facilitated by Montreal International. The objective of ZMQ Global is to scale its tested and proven models globally – in Francophone Africa, Caribbean and LatAm.
